This tropical vining satin pothos is a great beginner plant. The broad, larger exotic leaves of the Scindapsus exotic are bigger than the normal, smaller sized velvet Scindapsus they are cultivated from. They are one of my most favorite beginner plants. The velvety leaves definitely set it apart from its more common green pothos cousins. Its silver speckling gives it such a unique, almost ethereal look, making it a statement plant that doesn't demand too much attention. She is for the plant parent that wants a low maintenance queen. She's regal yet stoic as she requires very little day to day maintenance. 

 

Satin Pothos are pretty flexible when it comes to lighting, which is one of the reasons they make such great low-maintenance plants. Ideally, they do best in bright, indirect light. This means a spot where the plant gets plenty of light but not direct sunlight. Direct sun can scorch the leaves, turning them yellow or brown around the edges.

Water her weekly, keep her in a space with bright indirect light and forget she exists.  This plant is toxic to pets.
