this tall, lanky plant is native to eastern Africa. she is one of my favorite gateway plants as she can grow in any space, any lighting & any energy & therefore is the perfect beginner plant parent's dream. this slow growing “mother’s tongue” has thick, waxy leaves that make her tolerant to pests. she' grows quickly in the summer and grows in height. each stalk becoming its own part of the plant as a whole.
she is drought & neglect tolerant, preferring to be left alone and unbothered.
about the plant:
this plant does best with any level of plant parent and prefers bright direct or indirect light. this plant prefers to be rootbound so will likely require minimal long term care and does best with plant parents who are okay with it growing in the same pot.
this plant is toxic to pets.
